Eight years as Global Head of Mine Closure for Anglo American, including reviewing over 50 sites mine closure plans and associated liabilities declared on the balance sheet at $US5B undiscounted and $US3B discounted.

Led the InvestCo reviews for the first two De Beers sites to be closed valued at almost half a billion dollars.

Developed the Group-wide Anglo compulsory closure standard as well as the Group rehabilitation strategy.

Co-developed and implemented the ground-breaking Integrated Closure Planning System at ten operations around the globe (2015-2020). Primary author of the Mine Closure Toolbox (version 3) that is publicly available and contains extensive guidance on closure liability calculation.

Facilitated over 100 risk, opportunity, baseline maturity and gap analyses workshops across the Anglo American global operations (2014-2022).

Drove the process of relinquishment for Alcoa’s Jarrahdale Mine in the Jarrah Forest of Western Australia.

Participated in over 20 due diligence exercises for mergers and acquisitions.

Extensively published in national and international literature and renowned conference key note and panel member (three book chapters, 49 refereed publications and 39 conference papers).
